CreateLabs to focus on Venture Investments in Broadband/Wireless Infrastructure and Enterprise Software at all funding stages

 

SAN FRANCISCO--Dec 2, 2000--CreateLabs changes focus towards Venture Investments in Broadband/Wireless Infrastructure and Enterprise Software at all funding stages.  The firm also announces the appointment of Alfred Solis to Director.  Mr Solis was formerly with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

In Sept 2000, the firm closed a capital commitment of $10M from Stanford Capital Ventures, whose shareholders have substantial resources for further capital investment.  CreateLabs is also closely affiliated with;

K. Wah Technology Fund in Hong Kong, also affiliated with 

PO KAY SECURITIES, LTD., a securities firm that teams with investment firms such as Core Pacific-Yamaichi in sub underwriting IPOs in Asia. Po Kay offers both research and brokerage services that include subscriptions to IPOs, financing facilities, financing local stocks, nominee services, collecting dividends and bonus shares on behalf of clients, etc.

K. WAH INTERNATIONAL is a public company in the business of property development, and K. Wah Construction Materials owns an entire vertical construction materials supply chain in Hong Kong and China. These companies have offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Nanjing.   

Lawrence Lui is CreateLabs Venture Fund's Managing Director and Bob Haya is President.  Bob also founded RadioMail (now BlueKite.com - a leader in wireless bandwidth optimization), VR Depot (a 3D peripheral hardware spin off from Logitech) and various dot com's.
